Privacy and data
Your information, handled the way we would want ours handled.
This page covers two things: what our website collects from visitors, and how we protect the data of the nonprofits we serve. Last updated October 22, 2026.
Our website
- No tracking. The site uses no cookies, no analytics, no advertising pixels and no third-party scripts. Our fonts and images are served from our own web host.
- Server logs. Like every website, our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (IP address, page requested, browser type and time) for security and troubleshooting. We do not use them to identify or profile visitors.
- Email you send us. When you write to us, we use your name, email address and what you tell us only to reply and to provide the help you asked for. We keep it in our email account and will delete it if you ask.
- We never sell, rent or trade anyone's information.
If this changes
We do not accept online donations or use web forms yet. Before we add online giving, a contact form or any analytics, we will update this page to name the service we use and what it collects. Card payments will be handled by the payment processor; we will not see or store card numbers.
Organizations we serve
Shelters, pantries and ministries trust us with systems that hold sensitive information about the people they serve. These are our commitments:
- Your data stays yours. Accounts, files, devices and records belong to your organization, not to us or to any one volunteer.
- Only the access the work needs. We use access only for the job in front of us, and remove it when that job is done.
- No client information in AI tools. We never put names or personal details of the people you serve into AI tools. Any AI use in your organization follows a written policy your board approves.
- Confidential by default. Anyone working on your systems for us keeps what they see confidential and follows your own policies and the privacy laws that apply to your programs.
- Everything handed back. When a project ends, passwords, admin access and documentation are handed to your organization, not kept by us.
- We tell you. If we find or cause a problem that affects your data, we tell you promptly and help you fix it.
- No photos without consent. We do not photograph or film the people you serve without their written consent.
Children
This website is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
